  • Best product for heavy orange peel?

Hey everyone, back again! I sprayed this car the other day and it came out pretty good. The passenger door and some parts on the passenger side have some pretty heavy rough orange peel. I think I am going to respray the door, the peel is too heavy to sand and regain gloss back I think. I am going to sand down the light orange peel areas(towards the rear of the picture on the rear of the car.)
I am asking what product I should use when i sand some orange peel but not to a flat surface, and what pad I should use?
as for the door, I am thinking respraying it will be faster and cleaner in the end, but does anyone see that it can be sanded down and buffed back out?
it is really noticeable at the top of the door right under the window. Thanks in advance!

Wow that looks like some heavy peel alright! What's happening with the streaky part under the door handle?

    How was the paint applied?

Yea it is pretty bad, it does not feel rough like dry spotted paint, it feels glossy but not smooth. I hope that that makes sense.
The area you see under the handle are some dents which where either created from the inside of the door or a dent was pulled out too much with a stud welder.
A good amount of putty was on the door to build the surface on the door up to blend in the mountain like dents. It started to crack and i stripped the door down to bare metal. I told the person I could try to bang the metal back and shrink it and get it flat but it would cost the same as getting a junk yard door and they just said spray it as is. the streaks visible are probably just light bouncing off the mountain like dents in different angles.
the paint was applied with a spray gun, you can sort of see on the roof where it looks better as well as on the pillar.
but this door just came out horrible.

Do you think i could go over it with 2k on the orbital sander and polish the door or am i off better sanding it and respraying it.
