  • 69 Camaro leather

I have a 69 Camaro to detail this week. One of the questions I have deals with leather seats. The only leather product I have is the leather cleaner/conditioner I use on my Lexus. It is a specific Lexus product. I feel it leaves the seats to slippery. I assume Meguiars has a fine leather product but I would like to know what condition it leaves the seats. thanks

It's left my leather more supple and softer than it was originally.

    No slickness, just softness.

This was with the Gold Class Leather Cleaner and Conditioner spray, by the way.

If the camaro seats are original, I believe they are vinyl not leather. So you would want to use a product designed for vinyl.

Like RDVT4ME said, if these are original seats, I'm pretty sure they're going to be vinyl, not leather. Perhaps they have been recovered with leather?

I used to call on a Lexus dealer in Oregon and while the dealership sold the Lexus leather products, the detailers for the dealership used Meguiar's in the detailing shop.

Here's a great product by Meguiar's that will lightly clean, condition and protect in one step without leaving the surface slippery, or shiny, just supple and beautiful.

        Gold Class Rich Leather Spray

For vinyl, Meguiar's offers a number of different solutions, here's a good one that will clean, condition and protect,
