  • Java Black Pearl Color Problem (not sure how to remove it)

Hello, i'm new to the forum but i'm here often to read on how to clean my car. I have followed many of the instructions on here on how to clean my car properly and so far everything has worked 100% for me! My car is Subaru Impreza WRX 2004 Black Java Pearl and i have some white spots that i have no idea what they are and how to remove them. I usually dont park under trees and anything that can fall on the car. I uploaded some pictures and i have circled the white spots. The car have some dust on it but i hope the pictures are good for you to help me. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'll really appreciate all the help given so i can remove those spots. If you want i can upload the picture with higher resolution to take a better look at them if you are not sure. Here are the pictures below. Thank you!

Welcome to MOL. Have you tried using a polish or compound by hand just on those white spots?

Yes, i did try m105 followed by m205 by hand but it did not do anything to fix it.

hmmm are the spots above surface or is it like chips in the paint?

If its above surface then you can try the M105 with a DA if you have access to one and if that still doesn't work then the only other thing I can think of is wet sanding the spot and compounding and polishing it out. Let a pro do it of you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

They are not rock chips for sure. It feels like its above surface. I'll try with M105 tomorrow if it does not rain and see what happens. Any other suggestions before i try that?

Try the M105 with a DA and see what happens, if that still doesn't work then you'll have to get more aggressive, like wet sanding.

They appear to be deep etches. You can try with a machine and some M105 but it could also be clear coat fracturing. There is another member on here that had similar type defects.

I'll give it a try with the m105. The funny thing is on my hood (one of the pictures) one of the etchings was not there like 2 days ago and now i have it. Even my wife noticed that because she helped me when i detailed my car. I thought i might be going crazy but she noticed that too and said it was not there. I'm not sure how that showed up. Thank you guys, if you have other suggestions, please let me know. I'll try this weekend to work on it if it does not rain and i'll post again here.

The Guz - can you please post the thread for the person that had the same issues to see if he found a fix for it that might help?

                  Thank you.
