  • M26 -Ultimate Wax..

How does M26 compare to Ultimate Wax..other than it's a carnuaba wax with some polymers..

    Compare in terms of?

They are different with ultimate wax being a sealant and M26 being a carnauba.

UW will be the longer lasting of the two. Both offer good protection.

UW will last longer even though M26 is on the professional level..

It's not a matter of it being on the professional level. It's about the difference in one being synthetic and one being carnauba based. The professional products are not "better". They are intended for a different market.

M26 is similar to DC Carnauba Wax, both won't be as durable as Ultimate Wax, Ultimate Wax is indeed the most durable synthetic wax made by meguiars

I feel like this is one of those things where the lines get blurred a bit between professional and consumer product. UW being a sealant in paste form further muddies things up for most people it seems.

I've never had that problem with UW liquid....which i assume is the same as in paste form..

                    UW will outlast M26.

M26 will arguably look better on dark colors...

You would want to do it the other way around.

UW first for durability, then M26 for looks.

Otherwise you risk removing the M26 while applying UW...

You would think you would want to go M26 then seal in the look with UW..just my thought..

In theory you want the longest lasting protection as your first layer. M26 or a carnauba wax would then become the topper and the sacrificial barrier leaving you with the longer lasting layer still on the paint.

Sealants like to bond to a paint surface rather than a layer of wax.

You can top a carnaiba product with a sealant but the durability will be affected of the sealant.
