  • NXT All Metal Polysh or Metal Finishing Polish to clean exhaust tip and chrome?

    Hello!

I'd like to clean my exhaust tip and some chrome on the car that have water spot/bugs etching, I don't know what will be better between NXT All Metal Polysh and Metal Finishing Polish, do they have the same cleaning power? Is one better than the other? Can I use both safely on all metal surfaces? I know the latter is newer than NXT (I can find it easily, but it seems in U.S. it's retired?).

I forgot to add that NXT costs 1/3 less than Finishing Polish, so consider the price as well...

    Thanks.

The NXT might be the best out of your posted options. With a product name like that I would expect it's made for all types of metals finishes. Although, I haven't used either one. I use a metal polish that is only available through Petro truck stops. Little to no heavy rubbing and the results are better than anything I've used in my 30 years of experience.

The NXT All Metal Polysh is a great all around metal polish that works beautifully on both chrome and stainless exhaust tips as well as a wide variety of other metals. The new Finishing Metal Polish is extremely fine and best suited to final polishing of those metals that were originally polished to an almost mirror finish. Billet aluminum wheels and trim pieces come to mind here, and it's what we used as the final step in prepping the custom wheels on "Imposter", the Chip Foose built Chevy Impala that won this year's Ridler Award at Autorama. But for deeper cleaning, especially on the parts described in the original post here, NXT is going to be pretty darn terrific.
