    It's up to you really...

    Applying the wax straight on top of UP won't hurt anything. It may just mean the wax doesn't last as long as it should. Then again, carnauba based waxes don't generally last as long as synthetic sealants anyway, so if durability is important to you, perhaps that's not the right wax for you.

    Or you could go out and buy a Meg's wax/sealant.

    Or just strip the polishing oils either with APC or diluted IPA.

    Generally, you apply wax with foam applicators.
