  • Iron X Results

I used Iron X a couple weeks ago on my new 2014 F-150; the truck is white and had lots of iron contamination on the tailgate and some of the lower panels. After reading several posts and watching a couple of YouTube videos I decided that this was probably my best option for getting rid of these unwanted blemishes.

I will say that I am quite impressed with the results, as it rid the paint of any surface contamination. What I have noticed, however, is that in subsequent cleanings the paint seems to have a film or some other residue on the surface that makes water repel from the surface. My new wash regimen is to cover the truck with Super Soap using my foam cannon, followed by a high pressure rinse. After this "prewash" I use my normal wash mitt with Gold Class soap - what i find is I have a really hard time keeping the surface 'wet' while I'm trying to wash it. Even when going over panels with the mitt it almost feels like the soap is being 'repelled' somehow - it's tough to explain.

Since this is the first time I've used Iron X, I'm not sure - is this phenomenon normal?
