    Re: Ultimate Polish

I meant to type in Can I use Ultimate Liquid Wax after Black wax?

I'll be able to use Ultimate Quick Wax for maintenance after washing the vehicle then?

Black wax has protection in it as it's a cleaner wax. Following up with ultimate quik wax is fine.

Interesting... I've never had any problems removing UP.

A couple of tips on using Ultimate Polish:

    1. Shake bottle very thoroughly.

    2. Sometimes it will "leave itself" on the paint. If that happens, place a super small amount of liquid on your pad, re-work the area, amd wipe it off.

    Re: Ultimate Polish

I will never use Ultimate Polish again. It was close to impossible to remove...no I did not let it dry. I have a bottle of the stuff on my bench, covered in dust, with probably a teaspoon gone. On the other hand, I love Ultimate Compound.
If you want to polish, try ColorX if you can find it, or Black Wax after UC. Both have close to the same polishing effect as UP, but are far easier to remove in my opinion, plus you get an added wax effect.

Apply the wax with the soft foam applicator it comes with. Apply a nice Thin layer using no extra pressure other than to evenly cover all areas of the paint.

A thin layer of wax is all that's needed. A thick layer will not do any better as all it does is lay on top of itself and make more to wipe off.

It's usually ready to wipe off within 5-10min.
When you wipe it off there's no need to apply any sort of added pressure as the job is already done. It should wipe off very smooth thanks to the thin layer you applied along with the clay/polishing you've already done.

It won't wipe off so pleasurably if you apply a thick layer of wax. Good luck & have fun.

After innitially priming your applicator pad either foam or microfiber applicator, [Do not use terry/cotton applicators as they tend to be too aggresive] dispense a small dime sized ammount of polish onto it and apply to a small section [12"x12"] of your paint using moderate Even pressure. You can do circular or straight line [back & forth] motions, which ever feels better for you. Just make sure to stay in your small section for each application in order to make overlapping passes with the polish.

Staying within a small section while making overlapping passes prevents the polish from drying on the paint. Polish each 12"x12" section for about 30-45sec. or so... You want to polish long enough so that it's worked into the paint properly, aka "flashed". That will not only ensure you're getting the most out of it/using it properly, but it'll also make it quite easy to remove immediatly afterwards.

However, you Do Not want to polish an area so long that you end up dry buffing. Because then you'll wind up like those people who you heard complaining about the polish being hard to remove.

Hit that sweet spot right in the middle. Don't try to end your buffing cycle prematurely or you'll be wiping off goop.. But dont go so long that you end up dry buffing, or it'll be an actual hassle to wipe off. Once the polish Begins to thin aka flash, it's a good time to wipe off.

Ultimate Liquid Wax is applied and removed totally different from the Ultimate Polish...

For the compound and polish, just put it on and wipe it off immediately. I know this sounds different from what you have heard in the past, but it is true.

As for the wax, let it dry for 3-5 minutes. Remember more isn't better. A very thin layer will do the job. Think about applying wax. Only the parts that hit the paint are protecting the paint.
