My wife's traverse has a coat of nxt 2.0 on it now. If I want to use ultimate polish do I need to remove that wax first? Then re wax as usual

Re: ultimate polish after wax
NXT is a pretty durable polymer, but depending on how long ago you applied it there may not be a lot of it left. If you're working with a DA buffer and it's been a while since you applied NXT, then UP will remove the last of what's there. If, on the other hand, you applied it quite recently (like a week or two ago) then you'll likely need something a bit more aggressive to remove it. Clay will generally take care of it, but if it's that fresh then Ultimate Compound is the better choice.
What is the overall condition of the car right now, and what are you looking to achieve by stripping the NXT and applying UP?Michael Stoops
