  • Which quick detailer before wax application?

Getting ready to put my two black Harleys to bed before the snow flies. Both were recently washed and are clean except for a very light amount of dust. (Black has a way of showing such things.) Which QD would be better to use before applying wax...Ultimate Quick Detailer or Quick Detailer (burgundy bottle)? I have both on my shelf.

Either one will work. If it's a little heavy I would use a rinseless or waterless wash. You could actually follow up your QD with some ultimate quik wax if you don't have too much time.

Like The Guz said either will work, but I would tend to product match = use the Quik Detailer (purple bottle) with a carnauba wax & the UQD with the polymer waxes (sealants). But that's just me, I prefer to keep like products together, I think they work better that way, but that's just me.

I'm the same way don. Even tho I know it doesn't matter my OCD kicks in and I have to keep product families with their own. It's a nasty disease this detailing stuff!
