I recently purchased a 2009 Toyota Tacoma pickup with factory single stage white paint. The hood, roof, and tops of fenders have the dull and hazy oxidized appearance. The rest of the paint looks fantastic. I've got a professional detailer that is going to remove detail and entire truck to restore the paint. Now, how can I prevent any future oxidation? When I first purchased this truck, I waxed the truck with Meguiar's White Wax (just to get a good cleaning) and topped it off with Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax (really big fan of the ease with using the paste wax). This truck is garaged, but I work 24 hours shifts and the truck will be outside three days a week. Will Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax and a good car wash soap be enough to hold back or delay any future oxidation? I don't have a lot of spare time anymore to spend on my vehicle, but I'm good with washing once a week and applying wax once every two months or monthly if needed. I've never owned a single stage paint vehicle so I'm a little concerned about how to care for it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
