    Re: Weekend Project

Also did our new Venza this weekend. Once again, I think the DA will help the job go quicker, especially when it is 90 degrees It didn't appear to need much correction. I went ahead and clayed it anyways but it felt pretty good. The metallic flakes do pop more now in the sun. I thought it looked pretty good before, but it looks awesome now. The black looks warm, smooth and like glass. Sounds like a carnuba would make it look even better but I am going to try this out for size first and see how it works.

    Wash, clay, UP, ULW.

I didn't take any pics of the car before since it was basically new (and I forgot) Sorry for the picture quality, phone.

Only negative is that it was dusty in like 30 minutes sitting in the garage

Now I will be on a maintenance program from here. But I will ask questions on that in another thread.

Thanks again for all your help.

        Re: Weekend Project

Both cars look great. A DA would save your arms from feeling like they are going to fall off. As far as your maintenance stick to proper washing technique and a QD/QW of your choice and you will be good.

So I noticed last night while getting gas that it does appear that I do still have some light swirls that I didn't see in the garage. I only used UP but did so by hand. Think the results would have been didn't for sure with the UP and a DA. Can't wait to get my DA.

              Re: Weekend Project

Car looks fine as it is, maybe next time, you can take a bit more time in checking whether or not most if not all swirls have been removed. Yes, you can only remove so much swirls/scratches with your hands. So, get that DA polisher.

Regarding both cars, they look good. However, I see a more dramatic difference with the white SUV.

Thank you, yes, the car does look great. I just saw some minor swirls haloing the overhead lights last night. Nothing bad enough that I will redo anything until next time when I have a DA.

And yes, I agree, I saw a huge improvement in the white. The white came out so much.
