  • what to use to clean between words and,or emblems without scratching the paint

I was wondering what brushes or other options To clean in between words and emblems without scratching. I've seen some people use various brushes including tooth brushes. But I'm wondering what will and will not scratch. Any and all feedback is appreciated

Q-Tips really work well. Maybe I should say, works well for me.

I use a shaving brush. It's made of boars hair and is pretty effective at removing crud.

I use a synthetic paint brush from the hardware store (not cheap but much cheaper then a detailer's brush) Mine is round and able to get into the badge crevices. I also going to get another one for wheels only.

Steam by far the most effective and you don't really touch the paint

                    I use this sucker

Seriously. The small diameter Simoniz polisher does a decent job of getting into the emblems

How long do the batteries last on those things?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I use rechargeable batteries for everything. I can use this little simoniz detailer 2-3 times on my car before the batteries start to run down.

It's part of a discontinued kit called Simoniz Scratch Repair. You might be able to find them on eBay or try to google a search for the kit. I think I bought mine from Big Lots

Thanks I will check it out. I also bought some different brushes to get in there. Including wheel woolies. They're fantastic for wheels and barrels but they now come with a 1 inch woolie so I'll see if it helps with the emblems
