Planning on tackling my gf's Subaru forester tomorrow, first time running a DA. Plan is to wash, clay, than ultimate compound followed by Polish and meguiars white wax most likely followed by nxt 2.0Any tips for the process. I've worked all these products in by hand and the paint is in no need of correction as far as I can tell so far.

If there is no defects, then the UC isn't really needed.
You can:
Wash
Clay
UP
Nxt 2.0
Nxt 2.0
or:
Wash
Clay
White Wax
Nxt 2.0

I agree^ I've tried UP on my fathers white Toyota Tacoma by hand and was impressed at the oxidation it quickly removed. As far as swirls, they tend to be near impossible for the normL eye to spot on white so it was just fine for his truck at the time. My only recommendation and/or question is, will you be doing this indoors in a garage? if so, sounds like you're pretty much set to go. Good luck, you'll be happy with the results
