I wanted to wash and wax the car over the weekend, but I only had time to give it a good wash before I had to do other things. The car has been in the garage for the past few days (and the door never opened). If I use my California duster to dust off anything that may have settled on it, is it safe to wax the car, or should I just hold off waxing until I wash again? It's been a few months since I waxed, so I'd like to wax, but I don't want to do it if I'm going to do more harm than good (scratches or whatever)... Thanks

Can I wax if car has been sitting in garage for a few days after wash?

I take the same path when prepping my garage queen El Camino for a cruise or show, since there never seems to be enough time to do it all in one session. I'm not much of a Quick Detailer fan, preferring to wipe with a waterless wash product if the vehicle has had any time on the road, but i keep some QD on the shelf just for situations like this.

I would at least use some QD to wipe off the light layer of dust rather than using the california duster. Buff of any remaining QD and proceed to waxing.
