  • Quick Question about wheels

I own a 2012 Chevy Malibu LT( i bought it brand new) black in color i looked in my owners manual (i know i could wait until Monday and ask them) and couldn't find the information on what kind of wheels i have i wax them often it would be nice to know because i get a lot of compliments on my wheels/car , i keep it in good shape even up here in Boston although we're getting clobbered with lots of snow and bitter temps !

So, are you asking us what wheels are on your car while not even posting a photo of said car and wheel?

Doesn't seem like you are giving me a fighting chance at guessing.

        Re: Quick Question about wheels

All 2014 Malibus now have aluminum wheels. Depending on the model, some are all silver-painted and some have "machine-finished" faces with silver paint in the recesses. The LT models from previous years that appear to be chrome are actually plastic-coated.
All are clear-coated, so choose your wheel cleaners appropriately.

I can't really see your avatar that well, I'm on a phone and don't have a PC any longer. If you have factory GM wheels, like the post above says, they are factory cleared. If you have aftermarket wheels I couldn't say. I had an 11 Malibu and now have a 13 2SA Malibu, both have the silver metallic painted wheels with clear coat.

                    Re: Quick Question about wheels

Sorry, I misunderstood. So, for 18" you will have to use more wax than if they were 16 or 17. LOL j/K

Hey Blueline i'm thinking you either work in LE or you're a whacker now this one won't sit well with you if you do work in LE - no one wants to be called this if they're legit - LOL

And yes you're right i would have to use more wax Einstein - J/K

                      Just saying

The Malibu by the way is running mighty fine i must say ,looking pretty spiffy even in good ole New England !
