  • D115 a waste on wheels and tires?

I use D115 in a pump sprayer to clean my truck. I'm beginning to think that I should purchase ONR or D114 to clean my tires and chrome wheels. Wheels are coated with a clear protectant. Is this what most people do? Seems like a waste of D115 bc I don't need wax on my tires or wheels.

    Thanks

Wax on tires no, wax on wheels yes. You want to protect your wheels just like you protect your paint, keeps them looking new and makes them easier to clean. You can use an all purpose cleaner with a tire brush on your tires to keep them looking new and clean.

Thanks for the advice neighbor. I have a clear coating (Everbrite Protectaclear) on my wheels, so no wax necessary. How would I apply the APC if doing a rinsless? Spray APC and agitate with a tire brush, then spray D115 on to clean off?

The wax in D115 is minimal and I would still recommend using it on coated wheels, can't hurt.

On the tires use plain water to rinse. Spray APC, agitate with brush, then rinse with water. Apply dressing if you desire.

D115 is a wash and not a wax.
I wash everything with it with no problem

            M,

D115 is Rinsefree Express Wash and Wax, D114 is the Rinsefree Express Wash without wax. The wax in D115 is minimal, but contains wax nonetheless.

Yes it has a polymer protectant in it but isn't a wax, it contains polymer, is what I'm saying.
