My 2014 Ford Escape is scheduled to be manufactured the end of January. I don't know how long it'll take to complete and get delivered to my local dealer. How long should I wait before I put Ultimate Liquid Wax on it?

Re: New Escape how long before ULW
You don't have to wait to detail for a new car. The car should be painted and baked properly in the plant. Also, it would be weeks before it reaches the dealership.
In fact, many members here would suggest you to do the full 5-step full detailing right away.
Also, when the dealership prepares the car, it usually involves washing and waxing. They usually use the wrong method as well as cheap products. Maybe you should tell the dealership specifically to skip this step.

Re: New Escape how long before ULW
When I took delivery, I walked around the car with a Brinkmann flashlight before the car left the lot. Not sure I would have even let them buff it out if I had found something.
Their car wash is not touchless and I'm not sure how they dry it, so I need to tell them not to wash it when I come in for routine service. Vacuuming out the interior I don't mind.
Jet, you didn't tell us what color you got and pictures will be required when it arrives.

Re: New Escape how long before ULW
If you clay and polish, you better wax twice for even coverage. With Ultimate Wax, since you have to lay it down thin, it is very easy to miss some spots.
This is the only time I wax twice because after clay and polished, there is no more wax on your car.

good advice
It's actually a company fleet vehicle so I don't have any say with what the dealership will do with it, especially since the guy who does the ordering doesn't give the slightest care what-so-ever. The vehicle is just another number. (I couldn't even upgrade the stereo!) The good news for me is that I can do a full, complete detail once I get the Escape.
I ordered silver, which is the same color of my current car so I'm well versed in the process. I'll see if I can take before and after pictures to share.

Re: good advice
Yeah JET do take before and after pics, I love the look of silver after a full polish. Silver has a great wet look to it after a fully polished detail!
Have the same 2003 silver ford truck to do in the next few month, love the dripping wet look it has after the LSP! But this time I will be using M205/ M21 and M26, have you tried this combo JET or what is your process?''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''
