  • Cleaning Microfiber Towels

I'm pretty sure this has been hammered here before, but how do you all clean your microfiber towels? I have been using Micro-Restore and really like it, but now I'm out. I was thinking Tide or Woolite would be just as good and the bonus would be that I didn't have to order it. Also, they are not $35 per gallon. I'm ok with going the Micro-Restore route, but as always, I'm looking for (local) options. Thanks!

    Re: Cleaning Microfiber Towels

I've been using warm water and sometimes hot water for my misc. micro-fiber towels (because of the dirtyer condition), but I use a little tide or woolite like you stated and also one extra step. I add 1 cup of distilled vinagar. Been washing my micro fiber this way for years, not saying it's the right way but they come out clean and fluffy.

Not to hi jack this thread but can you use Meguiars d101 apc as a pre soak or to add in washer machine for extra cleaning for nasty towels?

Yeah, I just use regular detergent, sometimes vinegar, and those dryer balls in the dryer.

and yes, you can use an apc or degreaser to soak a minute if needed.

We just use a regular economy detergent. No fabric softeners. Seems to do ok for us.
