I just finished detailing my black car. I use a DA on 4 with ultimate compound. I wash, dry, claybrick and clean all the road film off in preparation for Ultimate Compound so I can get a good look at what I am dealing with, what needs the most attention. Once done with Ultimate, do you guys wipe down with an alcohol solution and microfiber? I went straight from Ultimate and wiped down with microfiber to my final coat which I like Collinite 845. It looked great on a 52K daily driver. About a day after the detail, a residue haze forms. Obviously I'm not removing all the wax residue even though it looked like I did 24 hours earlier, and then it needs washed and wiped down again to remove the haze. It is like an oily film and I can see the buffer marks in the film which come right off with your finger, not in the paint at all. Not sure if this is a result of not getting all the UC off and then the wax over top is not fully drying or what is happening. It was a humid day and I kinda expected this to happen. Question is how to prevent the haze? Different product? I like the Collinite, tough stuff.
