  • Need a little advice please

So this coming weekend I have a 67 C20 I will be working on. About 90 to 120 days after paint, after paint it went to the bake booth. So, what do you guys think? Obviously as mild as possible, in my opinion.

While customer was installing trim and other pieces, there was some minor scratches, and he got happy with using a mf wiping the truck down, carelessly dropping, and re-using the mf towel... Which did instal some swirls and very light webs. I have megs da, I am thinking towards the ultimate line, polish, and wax, but just want to make him happy, plus he's the father in law. I noticed today a ton of clear coat over spray in the bed, hoping clay will take it out, and ideas on that?

    UC
    UP
    UW

or is this over kill, under kill. He wants no wet sanding which is great because I have not gone down that road yet!

Should I maybe go some carnuba wax then UW to get the rich deep shine? I want to make it look like its dripping in color. please throw out some pointers I would appreciate it, and this truck will not be driven in rain, nice days only. Plus its one of my favorites of all time!

Original paint colors, black outx orange inside, only working outside though

What pads do you have for your DA?

Look through the pictures from the Saturday classes. Ultimate Compound is really a go-to product. From your description, the clear coat maybe delicate and starting with a softer pad or even a less aggressive product may be helpful. Meguiar's has always stated "least aggressive method" on a "test spot".

As a practice vehicle to learn wet sanding, I agree, a father-in-law's truck is not a good first choice.

The least aggressive approach first is sound advice. I recently went with M205 on a PC DA with an LC White pad and was very pleased for most of the swirl removal. In a few heavier areas I used UC for my first time with an orange light cutting pad and was thoroughly impressed.
