  • Bug stained paint

Here’s my problem, a bug stain. I have a 2013, Bright White Jeep, 5 day road trip and one yellowish stubborn bug stain that will not come off, it’s the size of a nickel. It’s definitely in the clear coat/paint itself, smooth. Here’s what I’ve tried: WD40, bug and tar remover, Zymol HD cleanse, and M105 (note these were all done my hand). Any suggestions, the front grill on a Wrangler is plastic if that makes a difference? Thanks!

I have only been successful using Ultimate Polish with a Dual Action Polisher.

You try Ultimate compound by hand??

I have a similar issue but with bird droppings. Hopefully the ultimate compound works. let me know if you find a solution. It is really annoying on a white car.

A friend told me they use dryer Bounce sheets. I laughed at first........until I tired it. I used 2 sheets together and dipped them in water. Wipe off any bug residue just like butter.

Ok so we're dealing with paint. 105 is an extreamly strong compound when used correctly. It well removing anything, including the paint. So try 105 again with a teary towel. this should be more than aggressive enough so be gentle.

Yeah, if some 105 wont do it, it must really be embedded in there.
