    Re: Ultimate Compound or Polish

Let me add a comment to these esteemed individuals, be sure and test these on a small, I repeat, small test area. You don't want to swirl a whole hood or fender.
These guys know their stuff, listen to their advice.

I tried UC first then UP, not real impressed with either. Looking for ColorX now.

wash, clay, Ultimate Polish (with Hand), Ultimate paste wax...i wana do ultimate polish so it can fill the light swirls and bring back the shine in the black color...any suggestions... and ya everything will be done by hand

Ult. Polish is very mild... it is hard to say if it will be strong enough or not for what you want.

Yeah, UP by hand will not do much other than temporarily hide some defects and add some shine. If you want to remove any defects, you'll have to step it up to UC.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I'd opt for the Ultimate Polish, if I'm just trying to cover them up, then wax over them. Ultimate Polish does a really nice job cleaning the paint, removing some defects and hiding the others. It's become one of my favorite products - even when using by hand.
