  • Wet sanded, compound, buffed, then polished....now what?

Ok, as the title says, i painted my play-car, but the paint came out with massive orange peel. After wet-sanding, using a rotary with compound, then a DA with orange pads and M105, then blue pads with M205 , then black pads with MIRROR GLAZE #3, I thought i had it done. Went to wash the car and get all the compound residue off. I did a quick wipe down, but then had to leave to go and do stuff. Well, actually, went over to my friends house to drink beer.

I went out yesterday to finished up the car, and i had water spots on several places. No biggie...just use the #3 to get them off. No dice. I had to use M105 to to get them off. So, it looks like i'm back to square 1.

After I get done with the polishing again, what should i use to protect the paint? A wax cleaner/polish? A sealer? NXT 2.0? Can i stack wax,as in use NXT, let it dry, remove it, then hit it with a sealer ?

I'm wanting to stay with Meguiars products, so just let me know what i can do, and what i should avoid.

    Thanks.

    Pictures?

This happened to me right after i finished part of a job recently.
Bad title car is Acura RL http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...ing-and-swirls

I am not sure what causes this either. I am not sure you had to jump all the way to M105. I had success with M205. This will but you 1 step away from being finished rather than 2.
I wish I knew more about #3 because i am not sure how it ranks against 205

My most common and longest lasting duo of products happen to neither be meguiars.

I use Menzerna Powerlock sealant...let cure and wipe clean...read topping instructions I believe it is 3 hr wait. Usually I let it wait overnight.
Then I top with Autoglym HD wax.
    Autoglym has great durability.

Now LSPs are only temporary and if you are getting water spotting like I, that underlying issue is still there. Wish someone could chime in with possible causes.
