  • Glass cleaning: Spray the window or the towel?

Epsecially on the inside front windshield. If you spray it you get it all over the dashboard. Do you spray it on microfiber? Paper towel? What's the best way to do it? I used the Meg. window cleaner but it wasn't NXT. I believe it was Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner (is nxt better?) I thought it was pretty clean but then the light would hit a certain way, and I would see some imperfection, a swirl, not smudges, I don't know what you call the marks actually. Maybe this is where window "buffing" comes in? I think I need to learn how to clean a window. I thought that was going to be the easiest part.

I have a bunch of green microfibers set aside just for glass, nothing fancy, just the big box store ones.
I wash them before using, then only wash the green microfibers separately from my other microfibers, these are also stored in it's own rubbermaid tote.
I usually spray the green microfiber towel and wipe the windows, followed with a separate dry green microfiber to buff clear and dry....always perfect results for me.
NXT is very good, smells great....never used Perfectly clarity.
You might be looking at water spots, buffing wiith a foam pad and Ultimate compound can get these spots off

To answer your question of towel or the glass...
I apply the glass cleaner to the microfiber and then wipe the windows with the moistened microfiber cloth. Then buff dry and clean with a dry microfiber cloth.
      I Never Use Signatures.

You mean ultimate compound won't scratch up glass? I thought it was just for metal.

          Thanks. I will try this.

How do you "buff" after using the tool? How do you ever buff the glass down near the dashboard?

Glass is much harder than paint, so UC can work to remove gunk from the surface.

It has a micro fiber bonnet on the tool to wipe the product dry. The tool is made to get the whole windshield even in the corners and applies flat pressure which is something hard to do with your hand. Takes 5 mins when it use to take forever and doesn't kill your back trying to get the Window done right all without streaks. I wish I had one years ago
