    To remove swirls with Scratch X 2.0 by hand in a brazilian Zafira 2008

    After any doubts about the use of Scratch X 2.0 for remove swirls by hand, I made it.

    Followed the Megs steps:

    1 - wash (Gold Class)
    2 - clay (kit)
    3 - Scratch X 2.0 (three times)
    4 - NXT 2.0
    5 - Also have any questions, but I think that I'll use Ultimate Quik Detailer (much dust in my region)

    Great work!

    Wow, that must have been a lot of work by hand! Did you do the whole car?

    *EDIT* I'm not so sure about using that squeegee to dry your paint.

      Hey Davey, thanks! Really, was a lot of work and I did in whole car, but in the back and the hood I concentrate efforts...

      About the squeegee, was a indication from my Meguiar's dealer in Brazil. Well, this is my very first time with detailer, then, I followed the tip (see http://www.lojamastercleaner.com.br/...-veiculos.html for more details). At first glance seems good, but...

        You'll tend to find the waffle wave style towels are better for drying, and the fuzzier kind are better for product removal.

        If you are going to be using a lot of detailer, you may want to look at something in bulk, like the #135 Synthetic Detailer. Or if it is real heavy dust, maybe the Rinsless Wash. The Ult. Wash and Wax Anywhere may be a bit pricey to use all the time.

        Just will want to add a milder cleaner/polish like Ult. Polish, or at least a cleaner/wax like ColorX, White Wax, Black Wax, etc then Nxt 2.0 next time when no defects to remove.

          Murr1525, thanks for your comments and sugestions. I'll work only in my car and my wife's one. I don't know the #135 SD. Rinsless Wash is to wash? Could I use the Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner without problem?

          And you said about milder cleaner/polish. Could I use the UP, for example, during 8 weeks (after wash in each week) and after new wax with NXT 2.0, is it? I was thinking in wash and UQD. After time for new wax, NXT 2.0. Then your proposal is wash and polish, after time wax?

            Looks like the name is actually D114 Rinse Free Express Wash, not Rinsless Wash.

            I don't know the #135 SD. Rinsless Wash is to wash? Could I use the Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner without problem?
            The "spray wash", usually considered rinsless wash products are used more like the quick detailers, in that you spray and remove some dirt dust on a small area, then go to a clean towel for a final wipe of that area, then move on. There are a couple videos about it on here if you were interested.

            But they are designed to remove heavier dust and dirt, while the quick detailer sprays are more for light dust.

            The Gold Class Soap would be used with a traditional 2 bucket wash.

            If you quick detail, or spray wash your car every couple days, you are basically washing it.

            No, the Ult. Polish would replace the ScratchX 2.0 for milder details in the future. So you would go:

            1. Wash
            2. Clay
            3. Cleaner/Polish - Ult. Polish
            4. Wax

            After just washing, like with the Gold Class or Rinsless Wash, you could use something like the UQD or UQW to shine things back up a bit. UQW would have the most protection of the two.

              Murr, thank you so much! Indeed I have the UQD for now and was idealizing this, after washing go on with it, until new wax. Guy, excuse me for more one question: this sequence that include 2 and 3 must be made in which frequency? Ever that wax? (3 or 4 times for year)

                Well, there is nothing exact for a frequency... 3 or 4 times a year is pretty standard.

                My car is outside a lot, so if I will use either a cleaner/polish->wax->wax or a cleaner/wax->wax if going to apply a proper coat of wax.

                Otherwise I will just use the spray wax after washing.
