Can small hailstones cause dents in car?

I noticed a small pea sized dent in the car door. It's visible in shade only at a particular angle. My car is fairly new. There was some hail in Atlanta yesterday. Can small hailstones cause dents in car (and on the door)? I can't think of any other reason.
If I make a comprehensive insurance claim, will my rates go up?

Would seem odder at an angle.... could on the flatter areas like the roof.

More like some jerk opening their door in a parking lot, and hitting your door. If it was hail, you would have more than one pea sized dent, and more likely would be on the horizontal surfaces, then on the vertical (door)

probably not hail.
Hail damage happens to the top of cars and alot of dents not just one little dent.
If you had hail damage you'd know it because your car would be a wreak, you'd be crying and could make a post about it, lol.
So most likely it's a door ding. They happen all the time and that's why PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL is now a business.
Contact your local PDR guy and for $100 bucks they'll rub it out for you.

Ir maybe like my case some stons with the thibg they use to cut grass, i have like 4-5 stones in my door because of that
