Best way to remove wax from Vinyl Trim?

    I was just talking to a painter friend the other day about this and he to recommended using peanut butter!!!

    My input on this... I am removing all the black textured plastic on my truck with smooth painted pieces... textured black plastic *****

      Ah, a topic near and dear to my heart.

      I have a MINI and several Jeep Wranglers so I know well the problem of wax on plastic.

      Peanut butter works just fine, but I hate being stared down by hungry squirrels while I'm using it.

      Peanut oil works even better. I use a soft toothbrush and work it into the waxed plastic. Then a quick wash to remove the peanut oil and the plastic has no more wax residue and is ready to be dressed.
