Thanks, guys! Probably I'll attempt this next Saturday. Then, tell you!

Would also be a good idea to start a fresh thread with your results and what not, just so I can keep this thread in regards to the mustang. That way we're not mixing up threads. Good luck

        Re: A little swirl problem!!

Ok some final pics of the exterior, including full shots of the car. I didn't do the tires (shine) due to it's supposed to snow 2-4 inches Saturday - Sunday night. BOOOOOO. It's spring, go away winter.

        Clay bar
DA Polisher with Yellow pad on speed 5 for 2 passes of UC
Finished with Black Finishing pad on speed 3 for 1 pass for NXT 2.0 let set for about 30 minutes.

Rear Passengers Fender Before UC. Notice the unusual scratches just above the fender flare. This one particular section was extra scratchy for some reason.

After 2 applications of UC (first wiped off, then redone for a second go around)

Full Car Shots, the sun is so bright, I couldn't get any reflections with it beating right on the paint, so I took pics from opposite sides.

        Swapped car positions

Reflection shots - All shots are from drivers side door and rear fender.

Before I swapped cars around - Reflection of garage and neighbor's house, etc.

After I swapped cars around - Reflection of my car with my detailing sign on it.

2nd photo shows a double reflection off front of rear drivers fender.

Ok found out that changing my general settings to enhanced wysiwyg format doesn't allow me to use the enter button. Changed it back to standard editor and now works again. Weird.

            ANYWHO,

Thought I'd take one more pic of the mustang while I was out and someone pushed a cart in the door.

            Some people

Oh wait that's just the reflection, lol

              Nice job!
              So you have a business?
You should step up to the Detatiler line. 105, 205, 20 & 66 should be your new friends.

                Re: A little swirl problem!!

I basically do this as a side hobby on the weekends only. I have a full time job m-f. I consider it a business, but it's not official. Made changes over the years and always learn everytime I do something. This is the first year I've stepped up from the orbital to the Meg's DA polisher. Learning better techniques for basically everything all the time. I really enjoy making my clients happy. Also this is the first time I've ever done any kind of "correcting". So these stang pictures are really the first car I've actually done the correcting on. I've been looking at the detailer line, but thinking some the stuff may sit longer than normal, because I'm not doing a lot of cars every year. So I'm still in the process of figuring out where I want to go with the products I'm using now.

                  Oh, okay. Very cool.
It's awesome to see an amature get these results. It's a testimony to Meguiar's brand is made for everyone.

                    Re: A little swirl problem!!

Well I'd say not a full amateur. I've been doing this for about 20 years. So I know what I'm doing, but don't, lol. Like I said, I always want to continue to learn. I'm very good at learning, quick at learning and good with tools. Very handy, jack of all trades type of person.

                    Also I don't know enough about the m105 205 20 or 66.

Use these for like the mustang I did for neglected paints.

Would the M105 replace the UC?
                    M205 Replace UP
                    M20 replace UX, NXT, etc?

And the M66 a one step for paints that aren't crazy neglected? And not have to use the above 3 if it's not too neglected.

UC/UP are a "lighter" version of 105/205 so you already are familiar with them.
66 is an awesome one step that removes those "light wash marks" and is used by alot of pros. So step up your game! lol
Your website is very professional and so should your products should be. Also I would remove the engine cleaning off your site. Have you check with your local regulations regarding engine cleaning? Here in So Cal it's $10,000 fine if engine run off reaches the storm drain. So CYA.

Well that's what I figured then. I've got enough to do a couple more cars with both. Maybe a little more. Might upgrade next year with those, we'll see, depends on if I use it up this year or not.

Also thank you for the website comments. I made the site myself. I didn't do the template, but added, deleted what I wanted and needed for the site.

I've never checked with my local reg's for engine cleaning. Maybe I should, just in case. lol

Another question. I noticed today that there are swirls over the entire trunk lid and rear wing. I thought I had everything out. Looks like maybe it was too cold to do the stang with the UC. Should I try M105? or possibly the da microfiber correction pad and correction liquid?

^^ Either of those are a step up from UC in terms of agressiveness, but it's hard to say which you should use without doing a test spot first.

In general, you would try the least agressive method first (M105 via a foam pad) and see if that gives the results you're after. If not, step it up to D300 via DAMF cutting pad.

The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

If UC was able to correct all the other panels on the car then there's no reason why it shouldn't do so on the trunk and rear wing, unless they've been repainted the paint is considerably harder there than on the rest of the car.

Everyone knows Meguiar's is a huge fan of black cars, but there's something about seeing a white car transformed from a swirled mess to a blinding, glimmering of pure whiteness. Fantastic work!
