  • What products to use on rubber and black plastic trims

I got cleaner wax on the rubber roof trim and black plastic trim above the fenders. I'm driving a 2013 Subaru BRZ.

I bought deep crystal car wash, some isopropyl alcohol, and some http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...ltimate-black/ Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer.

Can I use the plastic restorer on the rubber trim as well as the black plastic trim? Will include pics later.

Ah, seems Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer works well on rubber and black plastic. Will give it a shot, and post pics later.

I finished my little detail today, used deep crystal car wash, Meguiar's Cleaner Wax, and Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer.

Pics were taken at sundown. Didn't get a good pic of the trim because of the sunlight, but it looks new and no longer faded now. The top rubber trim also looks "top"! Thanks meguiars!

This is the point of taping off these parts.
Use a dressing to get into the plastic. it might not come off the first time but it will work the wax out in a few day/weeks.

The Ultimate Black might wear off after a while and reveal the wax stains again.

If so, try cleaning them off with APC first, before re-applying UB.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thanks, I used 50/50 iso and water and it worked ok, I'll go APC if the stains appear later.
