  • paint oxidation

    Hi Guys

this is my parents car.. really worse for wear, they bought it a few years ago and being oldies they didnt really know what they were getting them selves into different panels have different shades of red (looks like it was in an accident)

im worried that their paint now has oxidation in it. would you guys agree?

and what would be the plan of action to fix this

i recently did a wash, clay, wax - it looked ok for a while but then it rained and it came back to normal

    Re: paint oxidation

The first and third pics look like clear coat failure - there's no way to fix that other than a respray.

But then again... the rest looks like oxidation, which is usually associated with single stage paint. (Does the applicator / cloth turn red when you polish / compound it?)

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
