When should a terry cloth be used? I have searched the forums and some say it should be used for applying wax and taking off wax. Others say it causes scratches and should not be used. Just a little confused on these towels because they do seem to be very aggressive. My head unit in my truck has fine scratches all over it and I have thought about trying to use a terry and plastx to get rid of them. I just want to be sure I do the job right. So I guess my question is: When should I use a terry cloth and when should'nt I? Another question I have is what cloths do you use for what jobs? This forum is full of so much information but sometimes its hard to sift through. Thanks for all who respond and Happy Holidays.

Re: Terry Cloth and job questions?
Agree with the above.
I use terry on my wheels, engine, etc also. Same idea, really dirty areas.
That plastic is usually quite delicate, so a smooth foam applicator would be the better place to start.
And I generally dont like towels for applying products, except for glass cleaner, interior dressing. Paint cleaner, waxes, etc usually get a smooth foam applicator.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
