  • Deep Crystal System Polish

I have a white truck and it drives me nuts because I know that there is no way I can ever get it to shine like other colors can. I am really looking for anything that will give me a good deep gloss to make my truck shine. I have almost every product that I think I'm able to get in the stores in my area and am now moving onto just ordering my stuff from Meguiars.com. Heres my list:

    Gold Class Car Wash
NXT Tech Wax *Paste & Liquid*
    NXT Tech Protect
    NXT Speed Detailer
    NXT Spray Wax
    #7 Show Car Glaze
    #9 Swirl Remover
    #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax
    Quick Clay System
    Quick Detailer
    ColorX
    ScratchX

What I am wondering is if the Deep Crystal Polish would help me out at all? I keep thinking about it when I go into the store but at the same time I read the bottle and it says that the product is specifically formulated for dark colored cars. Would this give me a deeper shine then any of my other products or am I good with what I have? I also noticed my local Pep Boys is now carrying #5 New Car Glaze and have even considered that.

One of the things is, I do not have a PC, only a cheap Craftsman rotary. Which I must say does really nice for buffing every once in a while but obviously doesn't compare to one of the more expensive types. Is there any kind of product I could use with this, or could I even subtitute a PC with this for a short time until I can purchase a PC.

While it's true that it's difficult to get a lot of depth and reflectivity out of white and other light colors, (it's the nature of the color), you can get a lot of gloss and shine. Gloss and shine come from getting the surface as smooth as possible. For paint smoothness, focus on claying, and paint cleaning. Afterwards, polish with the Deep Crystal Polish for gloss and lock it in with your choice of a premium quality wax.

    Hope this helps...

I have had good luck in the past with Deep Crystal Polish then topped with #26. DC#2 seemed to add just a little more to the look.

I used it all the time on my xtreme.

Never took any good reflection shots, I have since sold the truck but it sure looked good!

What kind of paint cleaner would you recommend to use?

I noticed that on the regular Meguiars shop there is the Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner and there is also the Clear Coat Body Scrub Paint Cleaner.

I was going to work on it today, pick up the stuff from the store but the temperture has dropped from the 70's and 80's back into the 40's and 50's and it's going to rain starting in alittle while and continue to do so for days. I'm going on vacation later in the month when it warms back up so I'll have plenty of time to get prepared now

Great looking truck gb, I have the same problem with getting reflection pictures. I think I do a pretty good job shining her up already but I just want to get the best shine possible.

This is my truck the last time I washed it a few weeks ago. As you can see I'm probably about as far as I can get with shining it, but I figured I would ask anyway.
