I have a 2004 Honda Element with grey composite panels. No matter what I try when it rains the streak badly. Has anyone had this problem?

    What have you tried?

You are applying a dressing that is streaking?

I have tried just about everything like Armorall, back to black etc. Yes, I apply these things and they all look good when I apply them. I even put tire shine on it. They all streak after a good rain.

Probably would be good to use something like APC, or other cleaner to make sure the surface is clean before using more things.

Some plastics just dont take a dressing well. Maybe worth trying Ult. Quick Wax instead?

I detailed my windshield cowl using Ultimate Protectant with excellent result. No streaking at all when rains.

The secret is to prepare the surface to make sure it is clean. I failed the first time I applied UP. I washed the car with GC and applied UP. It streaked when it rained after a few days. I did not give up and the next time, I cleaned the cowl with Mr. Clean first then applied UP. This time it worked and the cowl had a nice matte black look. I now apply UP about once a month and no need for Mr. Clean anymore.

Thank you I'll try to clean it first!
