  • How to get dried rim cleaner off rims

Hey guys, I jsut put some Armor-All rim cleaner on my rims and I cleaned them and everything. Apparently, the stuff dried and left some stains and I tried to get it off with rim cleaner (probably not a smart idea) but it wouldn't come off. Any suggestions?

Are they painted/clearcoated wheels? You can just use a paint cleaner if that is that case.

Well, something like SwirlX would be a mild cleaner, and safe for paint or bare metal... so wouldnt hurt to try it.

Mmm.. for a whole car, I may want UC... but depends on how bad the swirls are I suppose.

I suppose I should use UC if i'm going to do the whole car. Makes sense.

any chance you could post a picture of the issue?
A cleaner staining the rim should not happen, or should be able to be removed by a quick detailer spray or something. If it doesn;t remove I am not sure if UC or swirlX will help, it may only make the rim hazy and not a very good finish. There are other options but I'd need to a see a photo.
