Hey folks! First time posting here on MOL. I've been doing lots of reading here, picked up a Megs DA and all the goodies to go with it. I purchased a 2011 GT500 race red with white stripes back in May out of NC and exported it to Canada. The previous owner was obviously skilled in auto detailing, it looked brand new when I picked it up. Not a swirl anywhere! I've spoken with him and he used Megs Gold Class carnuba wax. I'm starting to notice the odd swirl or fine scratch here and there and I'm wondering what I should do to correct it back to perfection.
My wash routine NOW is as follows. I rinse the car in the early AM before sunrise with hose pressure outside my garage. I have two buckets with grit guards, one with Megs gold class soap(5 cap fulls) the other with clean water. I foam gun the roof and windows then wash with a rinsed MF wash mitt, rinse the roof and windows and wash mitt then proceed to the next section repeating the process. Once the vehicle is all washed I pull it in the garage and dry with 2 waffle type dry cloths. Once dry I go over it with Megs quick wax and 2 Cookie Monster soft cloths to eliminate any water streaks. This has worked well but in full sun I do see the odd swirl, probably before I got the grit guards and educated myself on here about the 2 bucket method. I want to correct these fine scratches.
I was thinking I should wash, dry, and mild clay with ultimate quick detailer to ensure it's properly prepped. Then what should I do? DA with Megs ultimate polish on a grey polish pad followed by 2 coats of Megs Techwax 2.0 on a grey polish pad? I don't have any liquid Gold Glass but have a brand new bottle of the Tech 2.0
Thanks for any help.
