  • Has anyone here ever tried "Production Car care products"?

I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard about a small almost unknown car care company called "production car care" and if so is their stuff any good? I personally don't think so.

The reason being was when I was introduced to them though a youtube video called "Meguiars defeated outside the autozone", here is the link, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0_JWS8amyk) I noticed that all the guy had was a strange looking spray wax bottle with question marks all over it. And the guy doing the demonstration looked to me like a scared and insecure Vin Diesel!

And from the RED ratings that the video got, I assume most who saw the video thought the same thing. When the insecure Vin Diesel guy sprayed the second half of the hood with his "mystery wax" he did some cleaver camera work to make his side of the hood look shiner than the one in which he used the Meguiars Ultimate Detailer on.

He shifted the camera to where the evening sun shined nicely on his side thus trying to make the viewer think it was his wax that made it look that way.

But on the bright side at least he said the Meguiars Ultimate Detailer held up pretty good.

Either way this video I think is the funniest car detailing product demonstration video I think I've seen since I saw that old Amazing discoveries infomercial for Auri car wax back in the late 1980s where the dude in the bow tie lit the car's hood on fire to show off the wax's durability against heat.

But I'm just curious to what you all think of the video above? I bet you will get as big of a laugh out of it as I did!

This has been discussed here before, and we just want to remind everyone about our rule against bashing other companies, products or people, so please keep the discussion here civil.

We used some of their stuff at a body shop i used to work at. They seem to tailor to "production" work like mechanical car washes, dealership service car washes, body shops, etc. Nothing we used really impressed me or stood out. I think the biggest issue were the names of the products... they're named wierd things that you don't know what it is supposed to do. I would look at a jug of product, read the label and wouldn't know what it was meant for, so i would put it back, and grab things i was familiar with.
The prices can't be beat though. I'm just about 7 miles from the facility.

Yeah, I've seen this before. I think the vid / product is "questionable" to say the least.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Ive used production stuff before, alot of dealerships use it around my parts and for the most part its good stuff. you can't judge a company by a video... try their stuff out before you make any assumptions. The vid is a bit weird tho ill def give u that
