Re: House paint overspray
Sometimes overspray can be really finicky stuff, especially on different kinds of trim. It can take hours and hours to get rid of it depending on how bad it is. It sounds like you've gotten a good majority of it off, so it may just need another pass with the blue clay that you have been using. If that doesn't work, or you don't feel like it will, you could go one more step up and use the pink aggressive clay. You will almost certainly have to go over it with a polish after you use the pink clay, but it sounds like you've got Ultimate Compound so that should help you there. Just try to be as gentle as you can with the pink clay so that you only give yourself as much work as absolutely necessary.
One other thing that might be causing more issues for you is the fact that you used the cleaner wax. In a way you have kind of sealed the overspray in by putting the wax over it. You may want to do some wax removal before going at it again with the clay so that the clay can be in direct contact with the overspray instead of having the layer of wax inbetween the two.

Re: House paint overspray
Tried the meguiars blue clay on this today. Did get alot of it off the paint, but there are still some small specs left. Is there any kind of rubbing compound to try? Or should I just take it to a bodyshop?

Re: House paint overspray
sometimes you have to clay a car a few times. Clay Magic and 3m have more aggressive clay. I particularly don't care for them. I myself use the clay towel and the Auto scrubber, but that's an advance tool. My advice is to clay with 3m blue clay until it's gone.

Just remember going more agressive increases the chance of some marring being left behind that may need cleaned up.
Is there any product in particular you would recommend?

House paint overspray
Hi everyone. I have a 2008 Silverado. About a month ago it got covered in tan house paint. I've tried claying with the smooth surface clay kit. It removed a lot of the over spray, but not all. I've also tried cleaner wax, and ultimate compound. Should I try a more aggressive clay? or is there some kind of chemical solution to remove this? Mostly whats left is very small dots of the over spray that the clay wouldn't pick up. Thanks for any ideas.Tags: None
