I've always been a detailing fanatic.
Recently i picked up a 1995 black Lexus LS400. The car being black is easily the worse color when it comes to visible swirls and paint scratches.
the car was well taken care of by the last owner but it could have been better.
So i went ahead to order bottle of Meguair 105 and 205 with Chemical guys Orange & Blue Pads
Along with my porter cable DA and off we go!
so the paint started life with very heavy swirls and scratches.

I started with the CCS Orange pad which is more aggressive with the 105 compound.
I soaked the pad and worked the compound well into the pad surface and did 3 passes with my DA at 5.
after 2 passes i switch to blue pad (less aggressive) w/ 205 compound and did 2 more passes.

i tapped of the center of the hood to try to show the before and after.
