  • stripped off a strip oh dear now problems

Hi, I have had kids picking at the stripes on my car so decided it looked **** so I would remove them completly, took off passengers side and it was looking great, took off drivers side and oh dear what a mess, it looks like someone has put a few layers of clearcoat over the stripe so after removing it there is a small lip where it used to be,
So my question is, how to get rid of the lip? Do I use a cutting pad with Ultimate compound first or do I start lighter? I Have the Meguires DA and loads of Megs products just dont know where to start, I am dreading it in case it is Wet and Dry I need to use not confident about using that method. It is a 1999 Mazda Bongo by the way. Thanks guys.

Post some pics. I'm sure your going to need some 105 and a cutting pad to start
