    I'm not pushing down hard at all. i've giving some generous pressure, but no so hard that i can feel the metal flex. maybe a 7 in pressure.

      Did you clean the pads before you used them? These are new pads right? They could have something on them from transit or just plain sitting around on the store shelf. Did you prime them before the initial use? Dry pad hazing maybe?

            @wesleyoh, care to elobrate? I take the swirlx and I make an "x" on the pad. I'm not 100 percent sure how you prime a pad with paste wax.

              Just put enough product (swirlX) on the pad so you'll require less product as you go. Always use separate pads per product to prevent product cross contamination. To prime a paste wax, lightly run the applicator on the paste wax (whether ultimate, nxt 2, gold class, or any paste wax). This will liquify the wax almost instantly and be absorbed by the applicator. You may pick up too much initially, but ideally a light run of the applicator on the paste wax is enough, and as you go, you'll barely need to get more paste wax.
