I'm pretty sure we can't have a car drying thread without mentioning the flooding (or pooling) technique.
Once you are done with your wash, remove the nozzle from the hose you are using and just use the steady stream of water to sheet the water off (assuming you have a decent coat of wax on there) and about 70-80% of the water will just gradually sheet off the car with the help of gravity. Pretty simple really. I can dry my car with two small microfiber towels when I do this, so I am all for it.
As for what I actually use to dry, I just go with the cheap microfibers from Sam's Club and they work for me. Plus I were to drop one or get it in something nasty they are cheap so I will put them in the wash or throw them out.

After I gently rinse the car down with the nozzle off I use the Water Magnet on the paint and a chamois on the windows and it works well. I used to use a chamois on the paint as well which I found works the best but I don't know if it might scratch the paint. And I will try a leaf blower soon to see how that does. Also, I always use UQW after drying so my drying technique does not have to be perfect.
I read the reviews and looks like a good product.
The reviews say you are supposed to keep it moist. How? Do you dip it in water before drying?
I get it wet after i'm done drying the car right before I put it in the plastic container it comes with. Then when I use it the next time I will wring it out before I use it to dry the car. So it should be wet when you are storing it and dry when you are drying the car so you might need to wring it out a couple of times when drying the car.
Just purchased a leaf blower on sale for $40 for this purpose. Haven't used it yet, but I figure it is one less time I have to touch the paint. I used to do the pooling method with a water magnet.
Do you mean brave to let the kids dry the car? Well, if they make swirls, that give me excuse to do paint correction! I did try to educate them about detailing as much as I know except the youngest one. I don't think she hear anything I said, she is off to play with the soap bubble.
Well, I was hoping they will be hopeful in long run. Let wait and see it work! I will report back in couple years!
