  • Noob question 1

Hi there, been reading for a while but not seen the answer to this question so i am either looking into things too deeply or just thick,
Anyway the question is where and how do you store cloths, pads etc, i am just scared in case i use cloths with microscopic pieces of dust and grime and end up scratching the paintwork.
By the way I have not even started on the detailing yet, and I dont have a fancy car, but it is a 1999 Mazda Bongo, and really want it to last and look awesome.
Thanks in advance for any input I am sure it will all help.

On a small scale, zip lock bags. On a larger scale, I pick up snap lid plastic tubs at WalMart.

I dont really seal anything up usually... But most stuff, esp the towels, gets used regularly enough.

I would not put the foam pads in a zip-lock bag, or at least not a sealed one. If the pad is still damp at all, you'll end up with a moldy pad.

Another thing you can do to keep your fears at bay is iron out your towels/pads with a lint roller. You may think your towels are clean but run a lint roller over them and see what you get from them after washing and before use...
