  • Waste of Time?

I've been asking what products I need to get a nice wet look on my car. My Malibu has less then 8,000 miles and the paint, to me looks in pretty good condition. Most of the answer I get don't really advise a product, but on prep work. Ok I understand that, but I'm working by hand so my question is ... can getting a decent look be done by hand or should I just wash the car, clay it and then just put a wax on it.
    Thanks
    Rick

Anything that you do would be better than doing nothing at all.

You can keep it simple and get good results:

      1. Wash
      2. Clay
      3. ColorX
      4. Wax - Nxt, Ult. Wax, etc...

For my black Tahoe I use M07 Show Car Glaze which is a pure polish topped with M26 Hi Tech Wax applied both by hand and I am more than impressed with how it looks so I would recommend those two if you are looking for a rich wet look on your black Malibu.

My cars look brand new with Mr Murr's plan...mines slightly different

          1. wash with GC/Hyperwash/ or UW&W
          2. clay
          3. M66
          4. wax with GC/UW
          5. top with Collinite 845 or 476

            Re: Waste of Time?

I detailed by hand until about 3 years ago and my cars always looked great. You don't have to have one to keep your car looking good, but a DA makes the job easier and faster.

            What Murr recommended sounds great.
