foam gun

I was thinking about getting a foam gun. I was wondering how good try work and is it worth to get one. I have a new detailing contract and I have to clean about 16 vehicles.

To me, it's more of a toy than anything. Yes it's cool to have your car foamed up. I'm not really sure if it helps make it "safer" as people say it is. If you're going to use the foam gun on top of a 2 bucket wash, I find it a waste of soap.

Sometimes if I'm in a hurry, I use the foam gun along with a single rinse bucket with a grit guard to wash the car. If you're planning to use it this way then it's worth it IMO.

I like mine a lot, but it does what I am looking for.

I still use the same amount of soap, probably the same amount of time. For me, all it does is replace the soapy water bucket, everything else stays the same.

The dirt doesn't fall of the paint magically or anything, still needs washed the same.

So would it be a waste of time when it comes to washing 17 vehicles. Or would it work out on the long run.

Not sure about a waste of time... might not be an improvement.... If you had a crew maybe. But dragging a hose around 17 cars might be more of a hassle...

When it comes to washing those vehicles I have to get in them and pull them around to wash them. All they want done is washed and cleaned on the inside.

Just setting up two buckets on each side, parking in between, and just going at it would probably end up quicker/easier, at least compared to how I do it...
