Re: About to order a boatload of stuff, seeking advice.
Hey JJH, I too have a nbp acura tl with similar defects as you, I also just ordered a bunch of stuff to do a full detail on it for the summer. I picked up the MF DA system from meguiars, and the new gold class quick detailer.
What I am planning to do is, after the wash and clay, I am going to be going over the entire car with My brinkmann to find deeper scratches and defects. I will be wet sanding those spots with 3000 grit. For the spots i wet sanded I will use the d300 cutting compound with the MF cutting pad to remove the sanding scratches, after I will go over the entire car with UC and a foam cutting pad. Once I'm done that I will move on to #80 speed glaze ( similar to 205 although it's different technology) with a foam polishing pad. I will be using NXT 2.0 wax with a finishing foam pad as a final step. Then I will apply the new gold class quick detailer because it's suppose to make our black cars have a deeper darker look to it. In theory this should do the trick but I will soon find out how everything goes! I'm also a noob so this will be fun! Oh and I'm also using the portercable DA with meguiars backing plate with some soft buff foam pads and buff n shine pads
