I have a quick question about carpet cleaning.
When a carpet is sprayed with extractor water (or any water for that matter) and suds appear, is that from the previous detailer/car cleaner not rinsing the carpet very well or extracting the carpet after scrubbing with a shampoo or cleaner?
I detailed to vehicles for the same client and both vehicles had the same problem. One was a Ford Explorer the other was a Dodge Ram. The Explorer is a few years old and was pre-owned. The Dodge was purchased pre-owned 3 weeks ago. The vehicles were purchased from different dealers. I find it kind of ironic both had the same problem. The client stated they had done nothing to the interior with shampoo or carpet cleaner.
In the Explorer the headliner was full of shampoo as was the cargo area carpet.
I've cleaned a few interiors and have yet to run into this problem. I don't think it was my extractor. I only use water in my solution tank. I did the best I could to remove the shampoo without totally soaking the carpet.
Thanks for the lending ear. Any advice or other info would be great.
