  • Leather Care

Im about to run out of my GC leather cleaner and conditioner and was wondering what you guys recomend for leather care before I buy my next bottle. I was also wondering if anyone has used Mothers VLR because it is on sale at my local Advanced Auto Parts.

    Thanks

    Re: Leather Care

The VLR in my experience is a good product for regular use, gives a nice natural sheen. For deeper cleaning, you may want to switch to a dedicated cleaner instead of an all in one product like VLR, you just can't get the same cleaning power from an all in one. I would recommend it to you.

        Re: Leather Care

I was going to recommend the Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Aloe Leather Cleaner and Conditioner twins (G110 & G111) but no sign of them can be found on the website, I used them before moving to steam cleaning leather surfaces. Looks like they have been replaced by spray products that drop the 'Aloe' from the description (G185 & G186). As mentioned, moving to a dedicated cleaner and separate protection step is a good way to get the most effective results without the compromise of a product that has to do both in one bottle. Here is a link to the cleaner (G185):

Mother's VLR is a nice product, the performance reminds me of Meguiar's #40, though the scent of the VLR is not really more like a subtle perfume/cologne of some sort rather than a leather scent of #40. Preferences to smell aside, I like the VLR very much.

I have both Gold Class leather & vinyl cleaner and Gold Class leather conditioner and my seats are so fresh and so clean clean.

            Re: Leather Care

Thanks every one I just purchased VLR and am quite happy with it. I also found a bottle of megs one step leather care in my garage and it seems to have more cleaning ability and leaves the leather feeling great. Thans again.
