  • some randon questions...

Everytime I clean my car I seem to come up with new questions.

    1) Whenever I am drying my car there always seems to be some water spots left over but that is okay because I use UQW after and so my drying technique (water magnet & chamois) does not have to be flawless. That makes sense right?

    2) If tire coating foam or spray gets on the rim or car will it do any damage? (I use gel for my tires now but I used to use foam and spray)

    3) I sometimes use a brush to clean the tires but little specs come off the tire and seem to stick on my driveway. Any other people have that problem? I like using a sponge most of the time because of this problem but the sponge does not clean as well.

    4) Can u apply UQW by d/a or rotary? Or only by hand?

    5) What do you use to clean your wheel wells? Brush, sponge, cloth? (On my SUV there is a lot of space but on cars not that much space)

    6) It still seems like I apply too much wax. Also I apply by hand. I can see the wax all over the car after I apply it and after I wipe it off I sometimes can still see some wipe marks. So I'm guessing when people say thin they really mean thin. lol

    7) Where can u buy a paint thinner reader and how much do they cost?

Thanks guys. Within the next couple of months I definitely need to get a d/a. I have soaked up a lot of knowledge so far and want to take it to the next step. lol.

    Re: some randon questions...

    1. As long as you are following up quickly enough that the spots arent etching in. But you would see if they were.

    2. Not really, but good to wipe off.

    3. Havent seen specs of tire before.

    4. No, UQW is hand only.... why would you want it by DA or rotary? Are you thinking of the right product, or using it right?

    5. APC is good, and then some kind of brush.... Toilet Brushes are popular, esp if you find a soft one. Or getting a random straight brush with a wire core, and bending it.

    6. Yeah. If you want ot use UQW by machine, you are using way way way too much.

    7. Different qualities of them, I know that. I am sure someone will have a model or two to look at.

Never use UQW with a machine, always by hand just like UQD. The ultimate polish and wax can and should be applied with a DA.
