  • What products to use on these scratches?

Hey guys, I just started to get into detailing and did a lot of research. I just purchased my first black car and scratches are eyesores compared to any other color. I was just wondering what kind of products should I use on this? If it's too bad is it possible for professional detailers to fix it?

If I do this myself would this 5 step process be ok?
    1. 2 Bucket Wash with Gold Class carwash
    2. Claybar with Meguiar's claybar kit
    3. Apply Ultimate Compound on entire car by hand and Polish with Deep Crystal Polish
    4. Apply Gold Class Liquid Wax
    5. Maintain with Quick Wax and Quick detailer

Also the scratches have no feel to them, so it can't be thta deep.

If they are not deep, the steps above seem fine. The claybar step, IMO, is needed only if the paint feels too contaminated. Roll your fingers on the paint after washing the car - if it feels rough, you need to clay it. Otherwise, you can skip the step.

You can do this by hand, but given there are SO MANY scratches, I think you will save time by using a buffer like PC 7424xp or Megs g110v2. I have never tried by hand, but I do know that this requires a lot of elbow grease.
